Step-by-step

Power Down Device
1 minTurn off your Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus completely by holding the Power and Volume Down buttons, then select Power Off.

Eject SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the bottom edge of the frame and press firmly to pop out the SIM tray.

3 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Attach Suction Handle
2 minPlace a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass and pull upward to create a small gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minInsert an opening pick into the gap and carefully slide it around the perimeter to cut through the adhesive tape.

Detach Rear Cover
2 minLift the rear glass cover off the frame and set it aside on a clean, soft surface.

Unscrew Wireless Charging Antenna
3 minRemove the five Phillips #00 screws securing the wireless charging coil and upper bracket to the frame.

Remove Wireless Coil
2 minDisconnect the wireless charging ribbon cable from the mainboard and peel the coil off the battery.

Unscrew Loudspeaker Module
2 minRemove the five Phillips #00 screws holding the lower speaker assembly in place.

Remove Loudspeaker
2 minPry up the loudspeaker module using a plastic spudger and lift it out of the chassis.

Disconnect Sub-Board Cables
2 minUse the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the display flex cable and main interconnect cable from the daughterboard.

Unscrew Daughterboard
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the sub-board to the bottom housing.

Remove Sub-Board Assembly
2 minGently pry up and remove the daughterboard, which houses the primary microphone and USB-C port.

Install Replacement Board
2 minAlign the new daughterboard containing the replacement microphone into the housing and press it firmly into position.
