Power down the device
1 minPress and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

Heat the rear panel
2 minApply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the rear adhesive.

Apply a suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up firmly to create a small gap.

Insert an opening pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the phone frame and the rear panel.

Slice perimeter adhesive
3 minGently slide the pick around all four edges to cut through the perimeter adhesive layer.

Lift off the back cover
1 minCarefully lift the back panel off the chassis and place it on a clean surface.

Remove upper frame screws

1 minLift the faulty loudspeaker module out of the lower chassis cavity.

1 minAlign the new loudspeaker module into the lower housing and press down until it sits flush.

Secure loudspeaker screws
2 minReinstall and tighten the 7 Phillips #00 screws to fasten the loudspeaker assembly.

Reconnect battery flex cable

Reinstall upper bracket
2 minPlace the top bracket with the wireless coil back into position and secure the 10 Phillips #00 screws.

3 minClean remaining glue with isopropyl alcohol, then apply fresh pre-cut adhesive strips along the frame perimeter.

Reseal the back cover
2 minAlign the back panel with the phone frame and press firmly along all edges to seal the adhesive.
