Power Off the Device

Heat the Back Panel
2 minApply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear panel and pull up gently to create a small gap.

Insert an Opening Pick
1 minInsert an opening pick into the gap created beneath the rear panel.

Slice the Edge Adhesive
2 minSlide the pick along the bottom edge to slice through the factory tape.

Slice Remaining Edges
3 minCarefully run the opening pick along the sides and top edge to fully release the back cover.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minLift the plastic back panel off the frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew the Midframe Shield
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper midframe and wireless charging coil.

2 minPry up the wireless charging coil assembly and use a spudger to disconnect the battery press connector.

Remove the Wireless Charging Coil

1 minUse a spudger to detach the display flex cable connector from the sub-board.

1 minDisconnect the main daughterboard interconnect flex cable from the sub-board.

Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables
2 minUse precision tweezers to carefully pop off the white and blue antenna coaxial connectors from the sub-board.

Remove the Sub-Board Screw
1 minUnscrew the single Phillips #000 screw holding the charging port daughterboard to the chassis.

Extract the Old Charging Board
1 minPry up the lower daughterboard gently with a spudger and remove it from the phone.

Install the New Charging Board
1 minSet the new charging port sub-board into the lower housing and press it down flush.

Secure the Board Screw
