Step-by-step

Power off the device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before starting.

Heat the back glass
2 minApply heat using a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the back cover for about two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction cup
2 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass back panel and pull upward to create a slight gap.

Insert prying tool
1 minSlide a plastic opening pick into the gap between the glass back cover and the midframe.

Slice the perimeter adhesive
4 minMove the plastic prying tool along all sides of the back panel to fully separate the adhesive.

Remove back cover
1 minLift the glass back cover off the chassis and set it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew wireless charging coil
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the top antenna and wireless charging pad cover.

Disconnect wireless charging pad
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to gently pop the wireless charging pad connector off the motherboard.

Remove wireless charging module
2 minCarefully peel up the wireless charging pad and upper shield assembly from the device frame.

Unscrew bottom speaker module
3 minRemove the five Phillips #000 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the phone.

Pry out faulty loudspeaker
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the edge of the loudspeaker housing and gently lever it up from the chassis.

Position new loudspeaker assembly
2 minPlace the replacement loudspeaker module into the lower compartment and press down firmly to set it in place.

Secure loudspeaker screws
3 minReinstall and tighten the five Phillips #000 screws securing the bottom speaker module.

Reinstall wireless charging pad
2 minLay the wireless charging assembly back onto the battery and connect its plug into the motherboard socket.

Secure wireless charging screws
3 minDrive the five Phillips #000 screws back into the upper antenna bracket.

Reseal and attach back cover
4 minApply fresh adhesive strips along the phone frame, align the rear glass, and press firmly along the perimeter to seal.
