   Power Off Device

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before continuing.

   Remove SIM Tray

   Insert the SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the top edge of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray, then remove it.

   Heat Back Glass

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on medium heat to warm the outer edges of the rear glass for 2 to 3 minutes. This softens the strong factory perimeter adhesive.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup on the bottom third of the rear glass near the charging port. Press down firmly to create a tight vacuum seal.

   Create Opening Seam

   Pull up firmly on the suction cup to lift the rear panel slightly away from the frame. Insert a plastic opening pick into the small seam.

   Slice Perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back glass to slice through the adhesive. Do not insert the pick deeper than 4 mm to avoid damaging inner cables.

   Lift Off Back Glass

   Gently lift the back glass panel up and separate it from the phone body. Store it carefully on a clean surface.

   Unscrew Wireless Charging Shield

   Remove the five Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic top shield and attached wireless charging pad.

   Remove Wireless Charging Pad

   Use a plastic spudger to unclip the edges of the wireless charging pad assembly. Gently lift and remove it from the phone.

    Disconnect Battery Flex

    Pry the battery flex connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger. This cuts power to prevent electrical shorts.

    Unscrew Lower Loudspeaker

    Remove the six Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker enclosure.

    Remove Loudspeaker Module

    Insert a spudger under the top lip of the loudspeaker housing and pry upward to remove it.

    Disconnect Display Cable

    Pry up the display flex cable connector attached near the lower section of the motherboard.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cables

    Disconnect both main interconnect extension flex cables connecting the motherboard to the lower sub-board.

    Unscrew Motherboard

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw holding the motherboard bracket located near the top rear camera cluster.

    Lift Motherboard Assembly

    Carefully lift the motherboard out of the frame housing by grabbing the top corners. Place it safely on an anti-static mat.

    Remove Vibration Motor

    Apply a drop of high-purity isopropyl alcohol around the haptic vibration motor. Pry it out using precision tweezers.

    Loosen Battery Adhesive

    Apply high-purity isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom outer edges of the battery. Allow 2 minutes for the solvent to dissolve the glue.

    Pry Out Battery

    Place a suction cup on the battery and lever it upward using a broad plastic opening tool. Never insert metal tools near the battery pouch.

    Transfer Components to New Screen

    Transfer the battery, vibration motor, sub-board, and motherboard into the new frame assembly. Reassemble the remaining components in reverse order.
