   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top edge of the phone. Press firmly to pop out the tray and remove it.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply a heat gun or iOpener to the back cover edges for 2-3 minutes to soften the underlying adhesive.

   Attach Suction Handle

   Place a suction handle near the bottom edge of the back glass and press down to create a secure seal.

   Create an Opening Gap

   Pull up firmly on the suction handle while sliding a thin opening pick into the seam under the back glass.

   Slice perimeter Adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter tape. Reapply heat if the adhesive hardens.

   Remove the Back Glass

   Carefully lift the rear glass off the frame and set it aside in a safe area.

   Unscrew Wireless Charging Coil

   Remove the five Phillips #00 screws securing the upper motherboard shield and wireless charging pad.

   Disconnect Wireless Charging Pad

   Use a plastic spudger to pry the wireless charging coil connector straight up off the motherboard.

    Remove Wireless Charging Coil

    Gently peel the wireless charging assembly up from the battery and frame, then lift it away.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Enclosure

    Remove the five Phillips #00 screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover at the bottom of the phone.

    Insert a spudger under the top lip of the speaker module and lift it out of the chassis.

    Use a plastic spudger to lift the battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket to prevent short circuits.

    Pry up the press-fit display cable connector attached to the top edge of the lower daughterboard.

    Disconnect Interconnect Cables

    Unplug both interconnect flex cable connectors attached to the charging port daughterboard.

    Unscrew Charging Port Board

    Remove the three Phillips #00 screws fixing the charging port daughterboard to the bottom chassis.

    Remove Old Charging Port Board

    Insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard edge and gently pry it out of the frame housing.

    Install New Charging Port Board

    Position the new USB-C daughterboard in the lower chassis slot and press it down until seated flush.

    Secure Daughterboard Screws

    Reinstall the three Phillips #00 screws to anchor the new charging port board.

    Reconnect Interconnect and Display Cables

    Align and press down on the display and interconnect flex connectors until they snap into place.

    Reconnect Battery Cable

    Press the battery press-connector straight down onto the motherboard terminal.

    Reinstall Loudspeaker Module

    Set the loudspeaker housing in place over the daughterboard and secure it with five Phillips #00 screws.

    Reinstall Wireless Charging Coil

    Align the upper shield, press the coil connector into place, and secure the five Phillips #00 screws.

    Clean Old Frame Adhesive

    Apply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol to a lint-free cloth and scrape off leftover adhesive remnants from the frame.

    Reseal Rear Cover

    Apply pre-cut replacement adhesive tape around the perimeter, align the back glass, and press down firmly to seal.
