   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top edge of the phone and pull out the SIM card tray.

   Heat the back glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun around all edges of the rear glass for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction handle

   Place a suction cup on the lower portion of the rear glass and pull gently upward to create a small gap.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the seam under the bottom edge of the back cover.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the pick around all four edges to slice through the rear glass adhesive. Replace heat if resistance is felt.

   Remove the back glass

   Carefully lift the back glass panel off the chassis and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew upper bracket screws

   Remove the 13 Phillips #00 screws securing the motherboard cover and wireless charging coil.

   Disconnect wireless coil connector

   Use a plastic spudger to pry up and disconnect the wireless charging coil press connector from the motherboard.

   Peel the wireless charging coil off the battery and lift out the motherboard cover bracket.

    Pry the battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

    Unscrew lower loudspeaker bracket

    Remove the 5 Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom speaker assembly to the frame.

    Remove loudspeaker assembly

    Pry up the loudspeaker module from the bottom frame and remove it completely.

    Disconnect main interconnect cables

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main display and daughterboard flex cables from the motherboard.

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol into the gaps around the edges of the battery well.

    Wait for adhesive dissolution

    Allow the alcohol to soak beneath the battery for two minutes to weaken the strong factory adhesive.

    Pry up old battery

    Insert a plastic opening card under the battery and lever it upward until it separates from the frame.

    Lift the spent battery out of the chassis and set it aside safely for proper recycling.

    Press the battery flex cable directly into its motherboard socket until it clicks into place.

    Position the motherboard cover and wireless charging pad, reconnect its flex, and secure with 13 Phillips screws.

    Apply back glass adhesive

    Place a fresh pre-cut adhesive gasket onto the outer frame edge and remove the protective film.
