Step-by-step

Power off the device
1 minPress and hold the Side button and Volume Down button, then tap Power Off to shut down the phone completely.

Heat the rear glass
3 minApply a heat gun or hairdryer to the outer perimeter of the back glass for 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the suction cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the bottom section of the rear glass cover, just above the USB-C port.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then slide an opening pick beneath the glass edge.

Slice the perimeter adhesive
4 minSlide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the remaining adhesive.

Remove the rear cover
1 minLift the rear glass cover free from the chassis and set it aside in a safe workspace area.

Unscrew the upper shield
2 minRemove the five Phillips #000 screws securing the top motherboard bracket and wireless charging pad.

Remove the wireless charging coil
2 minUnclip the NFC pad connector and peel the wireless charging assembly off the phone frame.

Disconnect the battery cable
1 minUse the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up from the motherboard.

Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly
2 minRemove the five Phillips #000 screws securing the lower speaker enclosure to the bottom frame.

Remove the loudspeaker module
1 minInsert a spudger under the top lip of the loudspeaker housing and pry it up to remove it from the phone.

Disconnect the main flex cable
1 minUse a spudger to lever up and disconnect the main interconnect ribbon cable from the sub-board.

Disconnect the display flex cable
1 minPry up the display interconnect press connector from the upper edge of the charging port board.

Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables
2 minUse fine-tip tweezers to gently unclip the blue and white coaxial antenna cables from the daughterboard.

Unscrew the daughterboard
2 minRemove the three Phillips #000 screws holding the USB-C daughterboard assembly to the bottom enclosure.

Remove the charging port daughterboard
2 minPry beneath the lower edge of the daughterboard with a spudger and remove the charging port assembly.
