   Power off phone

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Eject SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top edge of the frame to pop out the SIM card tray.

   Heat back cover

   Apply heat evenly around the outer edges of the plastic back cover using a heat gun for 2 minutes.

   Attach suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel near the charging port.

   Slice back panel adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert a plastic pick to slice the perimeter adhesive.

   Remove back cover

   Slide picks around all four sides to free the remaining glue, then lift off the rear plastic cover.

   Unscrew midframe screws

   Remove the 15 Phillips #00 screws securing the upper midframe and wireless charging coil assembly.

   Detach wireless charging pad

   Gently pry up the edges of the wireless charging pad assembly with a spudger and remove it.

   Use a plastic spudger to snap the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard.

    Unplug the display ribbon cable connector from the lower section of the motherboard.

    Warm the edges of the front screen with a heat gun for 3 minutes to soften the display adhesive.

    Slice display glass adhesive

    Attach a suction cup to the glass, lift gently, and run an opening pick along all four edges.

    Separate screen assembly

    Lift the damaged screen panel off the body, threading the flex cable out through the frame slot.

    Clean frame perimeter

    Use tweezers and isopropyl alcohol to clear away old adhesive residue and broken glass from the frame.

    Apply front display adhesive

    Place new custom-cut adhesive strips along the inner frame ledge, peeling off the protective backing.

    Route new display flex cable

    Thread the flex ribbon of the replacement display panel through the frame opening from the front.

    Press new screen into position

    Align the screen with the outer bezel and press firmly around all edges to secure the adhesive bond.

    Reconnect display flex cable

    Snap the new screen's flex connector onto its socket on the lower motherboard board.

    Reinstall and tighten the 15 Phillips #00 screws to fix the motherboard shield and coil.

    Stick fresh replacement adhesive tape along the perimeter rim of the rear chassis.
