   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Heat the back cover

   Apply heat using a heat gun or hair dryer around the edges of the back panel for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward firmly to create a small opening.

   Insert an opening pick

   Slide a thin plastic opening pick into the small seam created at the bottom edge of the phone.

   Slice the bottom adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully along the bottom edge to cut through the adhesive layer.

   Slice the side adhesives

   Move the pick along the left and right edges, applying extra heat if you encounter tough resistance.

   Remove the back cover

   Gently lift the back plastic cover away from the phone chassis and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the upper midframe

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the upper midframe and wireless charging coil assembly.

   Remove the upper midframe

   Use a spudger to gently pry up the edges of the upper midframe and remove it from the device.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker module

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing to the lower frame.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Insert a spudger beneath the loudspeaker module, pry up gently, and lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pop the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Pry up the main interconnect ribbon cable press connector from the sub-board using a spudger.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Pry up the display flex cable connector attached to the left side of the charging port sub-board.

    Disconnect the antenna cables

    Use tweezers to carefully unsnap the white and blue coaxial antenna cables from the sub-board.

    Unscrew the sub-board

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw holding the charging port sub-board in place.

    Remove the defective sub-board

    Slide a flat prying tool under the sub-board, gently lift it out of its recess, and remove it.

    Install the new sub-board

    Position the new charging port sub-board into the lower housing and press down lightly until seated.

    Secure the new sub-board

    Reinstall the single Phillips #00 screw to lock the new daughterboard into the frame.

    Reconnect the antenna cables

    Align and snap the white and blue antenna coaxial connectors back onto their sub-board headers.

    Reconnect the flex cables

    Reattach the display flex, main interconnect ribbon, and battery connectors by pressing down gently until they click.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker

    Set the loudspeaker module back into place over the sub-board and secure it with its Phillips #00 screws.

    Reinstall the upper midframe

    Position the wireless coil midframe back onto the mainboard and replace all remaining Phillips #00 screws.

    Reattach the back cover

    Apply new perimeter adhesive tape to the frame, align the back cover, and press firmly around all edges.
