Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

Remove the back cover
1 minInsert your thumbnail or a plastic prying tool into the notch at the top of the back cover. Gently lever the cover off the phone frame.

Remove the battery

Remove the SIM card

Pry open the midframe
3 minInsert a plastic prying tool between the front glass assembly and the midframe outer edge. Run the tool around the perimeter to release the plastic clips.

Separate the midframe
2 minGently lift the midframe away from the front panel assembly to expose the motherboard.

Disconnect the speaker assembly connector
2 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the speaker flex cable connector straight up from its motherboard socket.

Remove the loudspeaker module
2 minInsert tweezers underneath the plastic loudspeaker housing at the bottom of the chassis and lift it out.

Install the new speaker module
2 minAlign the replacement speaker assembly into the lower chassis recess and press gently until it sits flush.

Reconnect the speaker flex cable
1 minPosition the flex cable connector directly over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

Reattach the midframe
2 minAlign the rear midframe over the front assembly and press along the edges until all plastic perimeter clips snap shut.

Secure the midframe screws
3 minReinstall the seven Phillips #00 screws around the midframe to hold the assembly together.

Reinstall SIM, memory card, and battery
2 minSlide the SIM and microSD cards back into their respective slots, then insert the battery top-first into its compartment.

Snap on the back cover
1 minPlace the back cover over the rear of the device and press firmly along all edges to snap it securely in place.
