   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Power button on the right edge of the Galaxy S2, then select 'Power off' on the display screen.

   Remove the back cover

   Insert a plastic prying tool or fingernail into the small notch near the power button and gently lift the rear cover off the chassis.

   Remove the battery

   Use your finger to lift the battery out from the recess at the bottom edge of the battery compartment.

   Remove the SIM and microSD cards

   Slide the SIM card and microSD card straight out from their respective spring-loaded metal slots.

   Unscrew the midframe housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the seven screws securing the plastic inner midframe to the phone's front assembly.

   Unclip the midframe edges

   Insert a plastic prying tool into the seam between the front glass assembly and outer frame, sliding around the perimeter to pop the plastic clips.

   Separate the midframe from the chassis

   Lift the midframe away from the front display and motherboard assembly to reveal the internal components.

   Disconnect the coaxial antenna cable

   Use tweezers or a spudger to gently pop the lower antenna connector off its socket on the bottom daughterboard.

   Disconnect the main display flex cable

   Pry up the press-fit display flex connector from the right side of the main motherboard using a spudger tool.

    Disconnect the touch key flex cable

    Use a spudger to detach the small ribbon cable connector for the capacitive home/back touch keys near the bottom of the motherboard.

    Remove the motherboard screw

    Remove the single black Phillips #00 screw located near the top right corner of the main motherboard assembly.

    Lift and remove the motherboard

    Carefully angle the top of the motherboard up and remove it from the display assembly, ensuring no flex cables snag during removal.

    Heat the bottom flex assembly

    Apply light heat using a heat gun or hairdryer for 10-15 seconds to soften the adhesive beneath the micro-USB board.

    Pry up the old charging port flex cable

    Insert a flat plastic spudger beneath the USB daughterboard and gently pry the old charging port assembly off the front housing frame.

    Position the replacement charging port assembly

    Align the new micro-USB flex cable board with the locating pins in the bottom recess and press firmly to adhere it to the frame.

    Reinstall the main motherboard

    Lower the motherboard back into the front frame assembly and re-secure it using the single black Phillips #00 screw.

    Reattach all flex cables and antenna

    Snap the display flex cable, touch key connector, and coaxial antenna cable securely back onto their respective sockets.

    Reassemble the midframe and housing

    Snap the plastic midframe back over the display frame, reinstall the 7 housing screws, re-insert the SIM/SD cards and battery, then press the back cover into place.
