   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Heat the back glass

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the rear glass cover for two minutes. This softens the adhesive securing the back cover to the frame.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass back cover. Pull up gently on the suction cup handle to create a small seam between the glass and frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert the tip of a thin opening pick into the seam under the bottom edge. Leave the pick in place to prevent the adhesive from re-bonding.

   Slice the perimeter adhesive

   Slide additional opening picks carefully around the left, right, and top edges. Cut through all adhesive holding the rear glass panel.

   Remove the rear glass cover

   Lift the back glass straight up off the phone body. Set the glass aside on a soft, clean surface.

   Unscrew the top shield

   Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws securing the upper antenna shield and wireless charging pad. Store the screws in an organized tray.

   Detach the wireless charging pad

   Pry up the edges of the wireless charging assembly using a spudger. Gently lift the pad up and away from the phone.

   Disconnect the battery flex cable

   Pry the battery connector straight up from its motherboard socket with a plastic spudger. This prevents electrical shorts during the repair.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker module

    Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws holding the bottom loudspeaker assembly to the frame.

    Remove the damaged loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger under the top lip of the loudspeaker housing. Pry gently upward to unclip and remove the assembly.

    Clean the speaker contact pads

    Inspect the contact pads on the lower motherboard assembly. Lightly clean them using isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab.

    Install the new loudspeaker

    Align the replacement loudspeaker module with the bottom frame recess. Press down firmly until the clips snap into place.

    Secure the loudspeaker screws

    Reinstall the seven Phillips #00 screws to attach the new loudspeaker module to the phone frame.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Press the battery connector firmly back into its motherboard socket until it clicks.

    Reattach the wireless charging pad

    Place the wireless charging assembly back onto the upper frame. Tighten the seven Phillips #00 screws to hold it in place.

    Apply rear cover adhesive

    Clean remaining old adhesive from the frame with isopropyl alcohol. Apply a pre-cut back cover adhesive sticker aligned to the frame edges.

    Reseal the rear glass

    Align the back glass panel over the phone and press firmly along all edges to seal the adhesive bond.
