Eject SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole at the top left of the phone. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it.

Heat rear glass edges
3 minApply heat to the back cover perimeter using a heat gun for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach suction cup
1 minPress a suction cup onto the lower portion of the rear glass cover near the bottom edge.

Create gap for opening pick
2 minPull up on the suction cup while pressing down on the frame to create a small gap near the bottom.

Slice bottom rear adhesive
2 minInsert an opening pick into the gap and slide it back and forth along the bottom edge.

Slice side rear adhesive
3 minSlide the pick carefully around the corners and up both long edges of the back cover.

Remove rear glass cover

Unbolt wireless charging pad screws
3 minRemove the eight Phillips #00 screws securing the upper mid-frame bracket and wireless charging pad.

Detach wireless charging pad
2 minUse a spudger to gently pry up the top edge of the wireless charging assembly and lift it off.

Remove motherboard screw

Remove motherboard assembly
