Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the hole on the top edge of the device. Pull the tray completely out of the frame.

Warm the Back Glass Adhesive
2 minApply heat to the edges of the rear glass using a heat gun or hair dryer for two minutes to soften the glue. Keep the heat source moving to avoid overheating.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower third of the rear glass. Pull upward firmly to create a small gap between the glass and the frame.

Slice the Rear Cover Adhesive
3 minInsert a plastic prying tool into the bottom gap. Carefully slide the pick along the perimeter to slice through the adhesive seal.

Remove the Rear Glass Panel
1 minGently tilt the back glass up and lift it away from the phone body. Set it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew the Upper Midframe
2 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the upper wireless charging assembly shield.

Remove the Wireless Charging Coil Assembly
1 minGently pry up the edges of the upper midframe using a spudger. Lift the wireless charging coil and plastic shield out of the frame.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minUse the edge of a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector straight up off the motherboard.

Disconnect the Fingerprint Sensor Flex
1 minLocate the fingerprint sensor flex connector on the upper-right edge of the motherboard. Pop it off the board using a spudger.

Remove the Fingerprint Sensor Retaining Bracket
2 minUse fine-tip tweezers to unlatch and remove the tiny metal bracket securing the fingerprint sensor inside the side rail.

Extract the Old Fingerprint Sensor Module
2 minPush the power button slightly from the outside, then use tweezers to carefully lift the fingerprint sensor and flex cable out of the frame slot.

Position the Replacement Fingerprint Sensor
2 minGuide the new fingerprint sensor module into the side frame recess. Ensure the outer power button surface sits flush with the frame.

Plug In the Fingerprint Sensor Flex
1 minAlign the press connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Reconnect the Battery Cable
1 minAlign the battery press connector over its socket and press down firmly to re-establish power connection.

Reinstall the Upper Midframe
2 minPlace the wireless charging assembly back onto the chassis and press it down. Secure all the Phillips #00 screws.

Reseal the Rear Glass
3 minApply new adhesive strips along the perimeter of the frame. Press the back glass firmly onto the phone and reinsert the SIM tray.
