Power off the phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen.

Eject the SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top of the frame and press to remove the tray.

Heat the rear glass
2 minApply a heat gun or iOpener to the back cover for two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Attach a suction cup

2 minPull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert an opening pick under the back glass.

Slice the side adhesive

Remove the rear glass

Unscrew the top bracket
2 minRemove six Phillips #00 screws securing the upper wireless charging coil assembly.

Detach the wireless coil
2 minPry up the wireless charging coil assembly gently using a spudger and set it aside.

1 minUse a plastic spudger to pop the battery connector straight up off the motherboard.

Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly
2 minRemove seven Phillips #00 screws securing the bottom loudspeaker module to the phone frame.

Pry out the old speaker
1 minInsert a spudger under the corner of the loudspeaker module and lift it out of the lower chassis.

Install the new loudspeaker
1 minPosition the replacement speaker module into the bottom recess and press it flush into the frame.

Secure the loudspeaker
2 minReplace the seven Phillips #00 screws to fasten the loudspeaker assembly.

Reconnect the battery
1 minAlign the battery press connector over its motherboard socket and press down firmly to connect.

Reinstall the wireless coil
2 minSet the wireless charging pad back in place and secure it with the six Phillips #00 screws.

Apply new back adhesive
3 minClean off old adhesive with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol and apply a pre-cut back cover adhesive strip.

Reattach the rear cover
2 minAlign the back glass panel onto the frame and press firmly along the perimeter to re-seal.
