   Power off the Galaxy S10 Plus

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before starting.

   Heat the rear glass cover

   Apply heat evenly around the outer edges of the back glass for 2 to 3 minutes using a heat gun or hair dryer. This softens the adhesive holding the rear panel.

   Attach suction cup and create a gap

   Press a suction cup onto the lower portion of the back cover. Pull up gently on the suction cup while inserting a plastic prying tool into the seam.

   Slice the rear glass adhesive

   Slide a plastic prying tool along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the remaining adhesive. Add more heat if the pick meets resistance.

   Remove the rear glass panel

   Carefully lift the rear glass clear of the phone frame. Place the back panel safely aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the midframe screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 15 screws securing the upper midframe and lower speaker assembly.

   Remove the wireless charging coil

   Use a spudger to gently unclip and lift out the wireless charging coil and upper midframe panel.

   Disconnect the battery cable

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the battery connector and pop it straight up from the motherboard socket.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top of the frame. Push firmly to eject the tray and remove it completely.

    Disconnect motherboard connectors

    Use a spudger to carefully disconnect the front camera, display, headphone jack, and sensor flex cables from the motherboard.

    Remove the motherboard

    Unscrew the single motherboard securing screw, then gently pry up and lift the motherboard out of the frame.

    Pry up the volume button flex cable

    Use fine tweezers to gently peel the volume button flex cable contact pad off the inner left side of the phone frame.

    Remove the external volume buttons

    Use tweezers to push the metallic volume button covers inward from the exterior frame. Clean away any residue from the button housing.

    Install the replacement volume button flex cable

    Position the new volume button flex cable into the frame slot. Press firmly along the contact pad to adhere it in place.

    Insert the external volume buttons

    Place the volume button key caps into their frame openings from the inside out, making sure they press freely against the new flex switches.

    Reinstall the motherboard

    Guide the motherboard back into the phone chassis. Ensure no cables are trapped beneath it, then tighten the single mounting screw.

    Reconnect internal cables and battery

    Press all disconnected flex cables straight down onto their motherboard sockets, finishing with the battery connector.

    Reinstall the midframe cover

    Place the wireless charging coil assembly over the motherboard. Reinstall the 15 Phillips #00 screws to secure it.

    Apply fresh rear glass adhesive

    Clean remaining adhesive off the glass and frame using isopropyl alcohol, then lay down pre-cut adhesive strips along the frame perimeter.

    Press the rear glass back into place

    Align the back glass with the phone frame and press firmly along the edges to seat the seal tightly.
