Step-by-step

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then select 'Power Off' on the screen to completely shut down the device.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or thin paperclip into the hole at the top edge of the device to remove the SIM tray.

Heat Back Glass
3 minApply heat to the edges of the rear glass using a heat gun or hair dryer for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the waterproof adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup on the lower half of the back glass and pull upward firmly to create a small opening.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the rear glass and the frame.

Slice Bottom Adhesive
2 minMove the opening pick along the bottom edge of the device to separate the adhesive backing.

Slice Side Adhesives
3 minSlide the pick around the left and right edges, reheating as necessary if adhesive hardens.

Lift Off Rear Glass
2 minCarefully lift the rear glass cover away from the chassis and place it in a safe area.

Remove Wireless Coil Screws
3 minUnscrew the six Phillips #000 screws securing the upper midframe and wireless charging coil assembly.

Detach Wireless Charging Pad
2 minUse a spudger to unclip the top midframe and carefully peel the wireless charging coil away from the battery.

Remove Loudspeaker Screws
2 minUnbolt the seven Phillips #000 screws holding the lower speaker assembly in place at the bottom of the frame.

Pry Out Speaker Module
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the edge of the bottom speaker module and gently lift it out of the phone.

Position New Loudspeaker
2 minAlign the replacement loudspeaker module into the lower cavity of the frame and press it gently into place.

Secure Speaker Screws
2 minReinstall and tighten the seven Phillips #000 screws to hold the new loudspeaker securely.

Reattach Wireless Charging Pad
3 minPosition the wireless charging assembly back over the motherboard and secure it with its six Phillips screws.

Reseal Back Glass
4 minApply new pre-cut adhesive strips around the frame perimeter, then align and firmly press the back glass down.
