   Power off the device completely

   Press and hold the power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is fully shut down before proceeding.

   Heat the back glass edge

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer perimeter of the back cover for 2 minutes. This softens the factory waterproof adhesive.

   Attach suction cup to lower glass

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the glass back cover. Press down firmly to secure a tight suction seal.

   Create a lower seam gap

   Pull up on the suction cup while gently pressing against the frame to form a slight opening. Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice bottom edge adhesive

   2 min

   Slide the plastic pick along the bottom edge of the phone. Leave the pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

   Cut side adhesive seals

   Insert a second pick and glide it up both the left and right sides of the rear cover. Avoid inserting the pick deeper than 5 mm.

   Slice top edge adhesive

   Slide the pick around the top curved corners to cut the remaining perimeter adhesive. Take care around the camera array module.

   Remove the back glass cover

   Lift the rear glass panel cleanly away from the frame. Set it aside in a safe, dust-free location.

   Unscrew the midframe panel

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 15 screws securing the midframe and wireless charging pad assembly.

    Detach the wireless charging coil

    Pry up the top edge of the wireless charging assembly using a spudger. Unclip it from the housing frame and set it aside.

    Disconnect the battery press cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex cable connector straight up from the motherboard socket.

    Apply high-grade isopropyl alcohol

    Apply a few drops of 90%+ isopropyl alcohol into the gaps surrounding the battery. Allow it to sit for 2-3 minutes to dissolve the glue.

    Lever battery from frame gap

    Insert a flat plastic opening tool into the lower corner gap beneath the battery. Slowly lever the battery up out of its recess.

    Clean battery compartment residue

    Scrape away remaining adhesive strips from the metal frame using a plastic tool. Wipe the compartment clean with isopropyl alcohol.

    Position new battery adhesive strips

    Peel the backing off new pre-cut battery adhesive strips and lay them flat inside the battery well.

    Press new battery into place

    Set the replacement battery into the frame and press firmly for 10 seconds to secure the adhesive bond.

    Reconnect battery and midframe

    Snap the battery connector onto the mainboard socket. Place the wireless charging midframe assembly back on and tighten the 15 Phillips #00 screws.

    Seal rear glass panel

    Apply fresh precut back glass adhesive strips to the frame perimeter. Align the rear glass cover and press firmly around all edges.
