Power off the device

3 minApply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol into the gaps surrounding the battery to soften the strong glue.

Lever out the old battery
4 minInsert a plastic opening card under the bottom edge of the battery and slowly lift it up from the chassis.

Clean residual battery adhesive
2 minWipe the empty battery well clean of old glue using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

Apply new battery adhesive
2 minPlace double-sided battery adhesive strips into the housing recess and peel off the protective film.

Install the replacement battery
1 minAlign the new battery with the enclosure and press down firmly to secure it to the adhesive.

Reconnect flex cables
2 minSnap the interconnect flex cables and the battery flex connector back onto their motherboard sockets.
