   Power down the phone

   Press and hold the Power button, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before starting.

   Eject SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top edge of the phone frame. Push firmly to eject the tray and pull it out.

   Heat the rear glass panel

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the back glass for 2-3 minutes. This softens the strong factory adhesive sealing the panel.

   Attach suction cup and open seam

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back glass and pull upward firmly to create a tiny gap. Insert an opening pick into the gap.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide opening picks around all four sides of the rear glass cover to cut through the adhesive. Reheat the glass if sliding becomes difficult.

   Lift off rear glass panel

   Carefully separate the back glass panel from the phone frame. Set the glass aside in a safe location.

   Unscrew upper midframe shield

   Remove the ten Phillips #00 screws securing the upper midframe cover and wireless charging coil assembly. Keep track of all removed screws.

   Remove wireless charging coil

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the plastic midframe and carefully pry up the wireless charging coil assembly. Set it aside.

   Disconnect the battery connector

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery flex connector straight up from the motherboard socket. Disconnecting power prevents short circuits.

    Unscrew lower speaker module

    Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker module over the bottom sub-board.

    Remove lower speaker module

    Gently lever the speaker module up using a spudger to free it from the frame clips and lift it out.

    Disconnect daughterboard flex cables

    Pry up the main interconnect ribbon cable and display flex cable connectors from the charging port daughterboard.

    Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Use precision tweezers to carefully pop the blue and white coaxial antenna heads off their sub-board connectors.

    Remove charging port sub-board

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the daughterboard, then pry up the board gently to remove it from the phone.

    Install new charging port sub-board

    Place the new charging port sub-board into position at the bottom of the frame and fasten it with the single Phillips #00 screw.

    Reconnect antenna and flex cables

    Snap the blue and white antenna coax connectors and ribbon flex cables back onto their corresponding daughterboard sockets.

    Reinstall lower speaker module

    Align the loudspeaker housing over the lower board, press down until seated, and reinstall the seven Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect battery flex cable

    Align the battery press connector with its motherboard socket and press down firmly until it snaps into place.

    Reinstall upper midframe assembly

    Position the upper midframe shield and wireless charging pad into the frame, then secure it using the ten Phillips #00 screws.

    Seal rear glass panel

    Clean remaining adhesive residue with isopropyl alcohol, stick new pre-cut adhesive to the rear glass, and press the back glass firmly onto the frame.
