   Eject the S Pen

   Press the S Pen inward until it clicks, then pull it out completely from the bottom slot.

   Remove the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top edge of the phone to eject the tray.

   Heat the back glass edges

   Apply a heat gun set to low heat around all four edges of the rear glass for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower half of the heated back glass to create a strong seal.

   Slice the rear glass adhesive

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert a plastic prying pick under the glass edge. Slide it along the perimeter.

   Disconnect the fingerprint sensor cable

   Slightly tilt the back panel open and use a plastic spudger to detach the short fingerprint sensor flex cable near the camera.

   Remove the back glass

   Lift the back glass away completely and place it on a clean surface.

   Remove top midframe screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws securing the upper midframe and wireless charging assembly.

   Detach the wireless charging coil

   Gently pry up the edges of the wireless charging pad using a spudger and lift it out of the chassis.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard to cut power.

    Remove lower speaker screws

    Unscrew the 7 Phillips #00 screws holding the loudspeaker assembly at the bottom of the device.

    Remove the loudspeaker module

    Pry the bottom loudspeaker housing upward with a plastic tool and remove it.

    Disconnect the display flex cable

    Locate the screen ribbon cable connected to the lower portion of the motherboard and disconnect it using a spudger.

    Heat the front display

    Use a heat gun to evenly warm the front screen glass for 3 to 4 minutes to soften the display adhesive.

    Attach suction cup to front glass

    Place the suction cup on the front screen near the bottom edge.

    Pry up the damaged display

    Pull up on the suction cup and carefully work a plastic opening pick around all sides of the screen to separate it from the frame.

    Guide flex cable out of frame

    Slowly lift the old screen off, making sure the display flex cable slides smoothly through the frame slot.

    Clean old display adhesive

    Remove remaining adhesive strips from the metal frame chassis using isopropyl alcohol and tweezers.

    Apply fresh display adhesive

    Lay down pre-cut adhesive strips along the edges of the inner metal frame and press firmly.

    Install the replacement display

    Thread the new display's flex cable through the frame slot and press the screen flat against the fresh adhesive.

    Reconnect display and battery cables

    Snap the display flex connector and battery flex connector firmly back onto their motherboard sockets.

    Reinstall loudspeaker and upper midframe

    Place the loudspeaker and wireless charging module back into position and tighten all Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect the fingerprint reader cable

    Hold the back glass close to the phone and press the fingerprint reader flex connector onto its socket.

    Seal the rear glass panel

    Apply fresh rear glass adhesive strips to the chassis frame, press the rear cover down tightly, and hold for 1 minute.
