Eject S-Pen and SIM Tray
2 minPress the S-Pen to release it from the bottom slot and slide it out. Insert a SIM eject tool into the top hole to remove the SIM and microSD tray.

Heat Rear Glass
3 minApply heat to the outer edges of the rear glass using a heat gun for two to three minutes. This softens the perimeter adhesive holding the back cover.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass. Pull up firmly on the ring to create a small seam between the glass and frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
4 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it along the sides to cut through the adhesive. Keep the pick shallow near the middle right to avoid damaging the fingerprint sensor cable.

Disconnect Top Sensor Flexes
2 minUse the edge of a spudger to disconnect the front-facing camera, iris scanner, and earpiece speaker cables from the upper portion of the board.

Disconnect Display and Board Flexes
2 minDetach the main display flex cable, digitizer cable, and daughterboard interconnect cables connected to the lower section of the motherboard.

Remove Logic Board Screw
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the logic board near the center bottom edge.

Lift Out Logic Board
2 minGently lever up the bottom end of the logic board with a spudger. Lift the motherboard out of the frame while ensuring no disconnected flex cables get caught.
