   Eject SIM tray and S Pen

   Power off your Galaxy Note 9 completely. Remove the SIM/microSD card tray and eject the S Pen from its slot.

   Heat rear glass edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting to warm the outer edges of the back cover for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive underneath.

   Attach suction cup to back glass

   Press a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass near the charging port.

   Insert opening pick

   Pull up on the suction cup to create a small gap at the bottom edge. Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap.

   Slice bottom adhesive seam

   Slide the plastic pick back and forth along the bottom edge of the phone to cut through the adhesive seal.

   Slice sides glass adhesive

   Carefully slide the opening pick around the bottom corners and up both side edges of the back cover.

   Slice top glass adhesive

   Apply additional heat if necessary, then slide the pick along the top edge of the back cover to free the remaining sides.

   Lift rear glass carefully

   Gently lift the rear cover from the left edge like a book. Do not pull it away completely yet, as the fingerprint sensor is still connected.

   Disconnect fingerprint sensor cable

   Use the flat end of a spudger to pop the fingerprint sensor flex cable off the motherboard socket.

    Remove rear glass cover

    Lift away the rear glass cover and set it aside safely on a clean workspace.

    Unscrew upper midframe

    Remove the eleven Phillips #00 screws securing the upper midframe and wireless charging coil assembly.

    Remove wireless charging module

    Pry up the top edge of the wireless charging assembly using a spudger and remove it from the device.

    Unscrew lower speaker housing

    Remove the seven Phillips #00 screws holding the lower loudspeaker housing in place.

    Remove lower speaker housing

    Insert a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker enclosure and pry it up to remove it from the frame.

    Disconnect battery connector

    Use the edge of a spudger to pry the battery flex cable straight up from its connector on the motherboard.

    Apply isopropyl alcohol around battery

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the top and side edges of the battery well. Allow it to sit for one minute to dissolve the glue.

    Pry out old battery

    Insert a plastic card or flat plastic tool under the battery from the left side. Gently pry upward until the adhesive releases completely.

    Clean battery recess

    Scrape off residual adhesive from the frame well using plastic tools and clean the area with isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply new battery adhesive

    Peel the backing from the replacement battery adhesive strips and lay them flat into the empty battery well.

    Set replacement battery in place

    Lower the new battery into the well and press down firmly to secure it to the fresh adhesive.

    Attach battery flex connector

    Align the battery flex cable over its socket and press straight down until it clicks securely into place.

    Reinstall lower speaker housing

    Position the lower speaker housing over the bottom assembly and press down until it sits flush. Fasten the seven Phillips screws.

    Reinstall upper midframe coil

    Align the upper wireless charging assembly over the top section of the motherboard. Reinstall and tighten the eleven Phillips screws.

    Reconnect fingerprint sensor cable

    Hold the back cover near the phone body and snap the fingerprint sensor connector back onto the motherboard.

    Seal and attach rear glass

    Apply new back cover adhesive tape to the perimeter of the frame, align the rear glass cover, and press firmly around all edges to seal.
