   Eject the S Pen

   Press down on the spring-loaded end of the S Pen until it clicks out. Slide the stylus fully out of the chassis slot.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole at the top edge of the device. Push firmly to eject the card tray, then pull it out.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Apply a heat gun or hair dryer to the edges of the back cover for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

   Attach the Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear glass near the bottom edge. Pull up on the suction ring to create a slight gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Insert a plastic opening pick into the gap created beneath the rear glass. Slide it along the bottom seam to cut the adhesive.

   Slice Side Edge Adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully up the left and right sides of the rear panel. Keep the pick flat to avoid damaging internal flex cables.

   Disconnect Fingerprint Sensor

   Lift the rear glass slightly from the right edge like a book cover. Use a spudger to unclip the short fingerprint sensor flex cable.

   Remove Rear Glass Assembly

   Lift the rear glass panel completely off the device frame and set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew Upper Antenna Cover

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 10 screws securing the wireless charging coil and upper antenna shield.

    Remove Wireless Charging Coil

    Gently pry up the top edges of the wireless charging assembly using a spudger, then remove it from the frame.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Use the flat end of a plastic spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from its socket on the motherboard.

    Unscrew Loudspeaker Module

    Remove the 5 Phillips #00 screws holding down the lower speaker housing at the bottom of the device.

    Remove the Loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger beneath the top edge of the loudspeaker unit and pry it up to remove it from the chassis.

    Disconnect Sub-Board Flex Cables

    Pry up the main display and daughterboard interconnect press-connectors from the charging port sub-board.

    Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables

    Use tweezers to carefully pry up and detach the blue and white coaxial antenna connectors from the sub-board.

    Unscrew Charging Port Board

    Remove the 3 Phillips #00 screws securing the charging port sub-board to the bottom chassis frame.

    Remove Old Charging Port Assembly

    Wedge a plastic spudger under the USB-C port housing and lift the daughterboard out of the phone frame.

    Position New Charging Port Board

    Lower the replacement sub-board into the bottom frame slot and press down evenly to seat the USB-C port.

    Secure Sub-Board and Reconnect Cables

    Reinstall the 3 Phillips screws, then snap the antenna coaxial cables and main flex cable back onto the new board.

    Reinstall Speaker and Antenna Assembly

    Replace the loudspeaker module and upper wireless charging panel, then tighten all remaining Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect Battery and Rear Glass

    Plug the battery connector back in, reconnect the fingerprint sensor, and press the rear glass into place with fresh adhesive.
