Step-by-step

Remove SIM Tray and S-Pen
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the top hole to pop out the SIM tray. Press and pull out the S-Pen stylus from the bottom slot.

Heat Back Cover
2 minApply heat to the edges of the glass rear panel using a heat gun for 2 minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the rear glass panel and press down to create a tight seal.

Create Edge Opening
2 minPull up firmly on the suction cup while pushing a thin opening pick into the gap between the glass and metal frame.

Slice Rear Glass Adhesive
3 minSlide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive bond.

Remove Rear Glass Panel
1 minLift the rear glass panel off the phone body and place it safely on a clean workspace.

Unscrew Midframe Screws
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all 20 screws securing the plastic midframe assembly.

Separate Midframe from Display Assembly
3 minPush gently against the battery area while pulling up on the outer edges of the midframe to unclip it from the phone.

Pry Out Loudspeaker Module
2 minInsert a plastic spudger beneath the loudspeaker assembly located at the bottom of the midframe and lift it out.

Install Replacement Loudspeaker
2 minPosition the new loudspeaker module into the designated bottom slot of the midframe and press down until flush.

Reattach Midframe Assembly
2 minAlign the midframe over the display assembly and press firmly along the perimeter until all plastic clips snap together.

Reinstall Midframe Screws
3 minInsert and tighten the 20 Phillips #00 screws back into the midframe to lock it in place.

Apply New Adhesive and Glass Cover
3 minPosition pre-cut replacement adhesive along the rear frame, then align and firmly press the back glass cover into place.

Reinsert SIM Tray and S-Pen
1 minPush the SIM card tray back into its top slot and insert the S-Pen into its housing until it clicks.
