Remove S-Pen and SIM Tray
1 minPress the S-Pen to eject it from its slot, then insert a SIM eject tool into the SIM tray hole to remove the tray.

Heat Back Glass Edges
3 minApply heat to the edges of the back glass using a heat gun or hair dryer for approximately two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Apply Suction Cup
2 minPress a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the back glass and gently pull upward to create a slight gap.

Slice Back Cover Adhesive
5 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slowly slide it along the perimeter to slice through the adhesive.

Lift Off Back Cover
2 minGently lift the back glass cover off the frame once all adhesive around the edges is completely separated.

Unscrew Midframe Screws
4 minRemove the 18 Phillips #00 screws securing the rear midframe assembly to the internal chassis.

Separate Midframe from Chassis
3 minPush firmly on the battery area while lifting the outer edge of the midframe to separate it from the front display assembly.

Disconnect Battery Connector
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard.

Disconnect Daughterboard Ribbon
2 minUnplug the display ribbon connector and lower daughterboard ribbon cable from the main logic board using a spudger.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minCarefully pry up the two antenna coaxial cables connected near the bottom microphone daughterboard assembly.

Remove Damaged Microphone Assembly
3 minUse tweezers and a spudger to lift the lower daughterboard housing the primary microphone out of the phone chassis.

Install Replacement Microphone Assembly
4 minSet the new daughterboard assembly into position, reconnect the antenna cables, and press all ribbon cables firmly into place.
