Eject the S Pen
1 minPull the S Pen out from its slot located at the bottom-right corner of the phone.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minInsert a fingernail or plastic opening tool into the notch near the power button and lift the rear cover off.

Remove the Battery
1 minUse the notch at the top of the battery compartment to lift and remove the battery.

Remove SIM and MicroSD Cards
1 minPress down and slide both the SIM card and MicroSD card out from their respective slots.

Unscrew the Midframe
3 minRemove the 12 Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic midframe to the phone body.

Pry Off the Midframe
3 minInsert a plastic pry tool between the screen frame and midframe to release the plastic clips along the perimeter.

Disconnect Display Flex Connectors
2 minUse the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the display cable and digitizer flex cable from the motherboard.

Disconnect Internal Component Cables
3 minPop off the connectors for the front camera, earpiece speaker, power button, and volume button assemblies.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minUse tweezers to carefully pry up the blue and white coaxial antenna connectors from the lower board.

5 minPull up gently on the suction cup and slide an opening pick into the gap, slicing the adhesive around all four sides.

Clean Frame Adhesive Residue
