   Eject SIM Tray and S Pen

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole at the top of the phone to pop out the SIM card tray. Press inward on the S Pen at the bottom and pull it out of its slot.

   Heat the Rear Glass

   Use a heat gun or hot air station to apply gentle heat around all four edges of the back cover for 2-3 minutes. This softens the factory adhesive holding the panel down.

   Slice Rear Glass Adhesive

   Press a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull up to create a small gap. Insert a thin plastic opening pick into the gap and slice along the edges to release the glue.

   Remove Rear Glass Panel

   Carefully lift the rear glass off the frame once all adhesive is sliced. Set the glass aside on a clean surface.

   Unbolt Upper Wireless Assembly

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the upper plastic bracket and wireless charging coil. Keep screws organized for reassembly.

   Detach Wireless Charging Coil

   Use a spudger to gently unclip the wireless charging pad flex connector from the motherboard. Lift the coil assembly off the phone.

   Disconnect Battery Cable

   Insert the flat end of a spudger straight under the battery connector to detach it from the motherboard socket. This prevents electrical shorts while working.

   Unbolt Loudspeaker Assembly

   Remove the five Phillips #00 screws securing the lower loudspeaker cover to the bottom frame.

   Remove Loudspeaker Module

   Insert a plastic spudger beneath the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and pry up gently to remove it, exposing the daughterboard.

    Disconnect Interconnect and Coax Cables

    Use a spudger to snap off the main ribbon cable connector and the antenna coaxial cable connected to the bottom daughterboard.

    Remove Daughterboard Screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the daughterboard and primary microphone assembly to the bottom frame.

    Pry Up Old Daughterboard

    Gently pry up beneath the USB-C port and daughterboard with a spudger to free it from the phone body. Be careful not to damage the adjacent frame.

    Seat New Microphone Daughterboard

    Align the replacement daughterboard containing the new primary microphone over its slot and press down until it sits flush.

    Reconnect Connectors and Secure Screws

    Reattach the interconnect ribbon, antenna cable, and daughterboard screw. Reinstall the loudspeaker, reconnect the battery, and screw down the upper wireless coil assembly.

    Reseal Back Glass Panel

    Clean remaining glue with isopropyl alcohol, apply new pre-cut adhesive around the frame edges, and press the rear glass firmly back onto the chassis.
