Step-by-step

Power Off the Phone
1 minHold down the Side and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off to safely shut down the device.

Remove the S Pen
1 minPress the S Pen spring end to eject it, then pull it completely out from the bottom slot.

Eject the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the top frame hole to pop out and remove the SIM card tray.

Heat the Rear Glass
3 minApply a heat gun on low heat around all edges of the rear panel for 2 to 3 minutes to soften the perimeter adhesive.

Attach a Suction Cup
1 minSecure a suction cup onto the lower center of the rear glass near the charging port.

Create an Entry Gap
2 minPull up firmly on the suction cup while inserting a thin plastic opening pick between the back glass and frame.

Slice the Bottom Edge Adhesive
2 minSlide the plastic opening pick back and forth along the bottom perimeter to break the adhesive seal.

Slice the Side Adhesives
3 minGuide the pick along the left and right edges, heating again if you feel significant resistance.

Slice the Top Edge
2 minGently slide the pick along the top edge, taking care not to insert it too deep near the camera housing.

Lift Away Old Back Cover
1 minLift the back cover straight off the frame and set it aside.

Clean the Frame
3 minScrape away old leftover adhesive from the metal frame using a plastic spudger.

Apply Isopropyl Alcohol
2 minWipe down the frame perimeter with a lint-free cloth dampened with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol.

Transfer Camera Lens Module
3 minUnclip or unscrew the camera lens trim from the old glass if your new cover lacks one, then press it into the new cover.

Prepare New Back Cover Adhesive
1 minPeel off the protective film layers exposing the fresh adhesive strips on the new back cover.

Install the New Cover
2 minCarefully align the new back glass with the camera module and outer frame, then press down along all edges.

Apply Firm Pressure
2 minApply gentle, even pressure along the entire outer edge using your fingers or a clamp for 2 minutes to seal the adhesive.

Reinsert SIM Tray and S Pen
1 minPush the SIM tray back into the top slot and slide the S Pen back into the bottom silo until it clicks.
