   Eject the S-Pen

   Press the S-Pen inward until it clicks, then slide it out from the bottom slot of the phone.

   Remove Back Cover

   Insert a plastic opening tool or fingernail into the notch near the power button and lift the rear cover off.

   Remove Battery

   Lift the battery out of its recess using the notch provided at the bottom edge.

   Remove MicroSD and SIM Cards

   Slide out any installed MicroSD card and SIM card from their respective slots above the battery bay.

   Unscrew Midframe Screws

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws securing the plastic midframe to the phone chassis.

   Pry Off Midframe

   Insert a plastic opening tool between the display glass seam and midframe, then slide along the perimeter to release the plastic snaps.

   Remove Speaker Assembly

   Gently pry up and remove the loudspeaker module located at the bottom of the device chassis.

   Disconnect Antenna Cable

   Use fine tweezers to pop the coaxial antenna cable connector off its socket on the lower charge port board.

   Disconnect Charging Port Ribbon

   Use a plastic opening tool to disconnect the main charging port flex connector from the motherboard.

    Unclip Soft Key Contacts

    Carefully pry up the left and right capacitive key flex ribbon contacts attached to the bottom edge.

    Remove Charging Port Screw

    Unscrew the single Phillips #00 screw securing the USB port board to the lower frame.

    Lift Out Old Charging Port Assembly

    Use tweezers to gently pry the micro-USB board and integrated microphone up and out of the frame.

    Position New Charging Port Board

    Set the replacement charging port board into the lower housing, aligning the micro-USB port with its frame opening.

    Secure USB Board Screw

    Reinstall the single Phillips #00 screw to anchor the new charging port assembly into place.

    Adhere Soft Key Contacts

    Press the capacitive soft key ribbon contacts down firmly into their original positions on either side of the port.

    Connect Charging Port Ribbon

    Align and press the main charging port flex connector onto the motherboard until it snaps into place.

    Reconnect Antenna Cable

    Align the coaxial antenna connector over its socket on the charge port board and press down gently to attach it.

    Reinstall Speaker Assembly

    Place the loudspeaker module back into the lower recess and press down until it sits flush.

    Snap Midframe into Place

    Align the plastic midframe over the body and press firmly along all edges until every clip engages.

    Fasten Midframe Screws

    Reinstall the 11 Phillips #00 screws into the midframe until each is secure.

    Reinsert Battery and Cards

    Insert the SIM card, MicroSD card, and battery back into their corresponding bays.

    Snap On Rear Cover

    Align the back cover with the housing and press firmly around all edges until fully sealed.
