Step-by-step

Eject the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the top edge of the phone to pop out and remove the SIM tray.

Remove the S Pen
1 minPress the end of the S Pen inward until it clicks, then pull it completely out of its slot.

Power Off the Device
1 minPress and hold the Side and Volume Down buttons simultaneously, then select Power Off on the screen.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minApply a heat gun on low power around all edges of the rear glass for 2 minutes to soften the factory adhesive.

Attach a Suction Cup
1 minPress a heavy-duty suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear glass cover.

Create an Opening Gap
2 minPull upward on the suction cup with firm pressure to separate the rear glass slightly from the metal frame.

Insert an Opening Pick
1 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created at the bottom edge of the device.

Slice the Bottom Adhesive
2 minSlide the pick back and forth across the bottom seam to cut through the adhesive layer.

Slice the Left Edge Adhesive
2 minReheat the left edge for 30 seconds, then slide your pick up the left side of the phone.

Slice the Top Edge Adhesive
2 minCarefully guide the pick around the top corner and across the top edge, cutting through the remaining tape.

Slice the Right Edge Adhesive
2 minReheat the right side and slide the pick down the right edge to free all perimeter adhesive.

Lift Away the Old Cover
1 minGently lift the back glass straight up off the chassis and set it aside.

Clean Frame Adhesive
4 minScrape away remaining adhesive residue from the aluminum frame using a spudger and isopropyl alcohol.

Prepare the Replacement Cover
1 minPeel off all protective plastic backing films from the pre-cut adhesive strips on your new back cover.

Install the New Cover
2 minAlign the replacement glass with the camera housing and frame edges, then press down firmly along all borders.

Reinsert SIM Tray and S Pen
1 minPush the SIM tray back into its top slot and reinsert the S Pen into its housing until it clicks.
