Step-by-step

Eject the S Pen
1 minPress the top of the S Pen until it clicks, then slide it completely out of the phone slot.

Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen.

Heat the Rear Glass
3 minApply heat to the outer edges of the rear glass using a heat gun for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Apply Suction Cup
2 minAttach a suction cup to the lower back glass and pull gently upward to create a slight gap.

Slice Rear Adhesive
5 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slowly slide it along the perimeter to slice the seal.

Lift Off Back Cover
2 minCarefully lift the rear glass off the phone chassis and set it aside.

Unscrew Midframe Bracket
4 minRemove the 13 Phillips #00 screws holding the wireless charging coil and midframe cover in place.

Disconnect Wireless Charging Coil
2 minUse a spudger to gently pop the wireless charging coil connector off the motherboard.

Remove Wireless Charging Coil
2 minPeel the wireless charging pad away from the battery and chassis.

Disconnect Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery connector straight up from the motherboard to cut power completely.

Disconnect S Pen Coil Flex
2 minLocate the small S Pen charging coil flex connector on the motherboard and disconnect it using tweezers or a spudger.

Unscrew S Pen Charging Module
2 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the S Pen internal charging assembly.

Remove Old S Pen Coil
2 minUse tweezers to carefully lift and remove the faulty S Pen charging coil from the stylus housing.

Install New S Pen Coil
3 minSeat the replacement S Pen charging coil module into the slot and press it down flush.

Reassemble Components
8 minSecure the module screw, reconnect the battery and wireless charging coil, and apply new back glass adhesive.
