Eject S-Pen and SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the tray hole on the side and pull out the tray, then press and release the S-Pen to remove it.

Heat the Back Cover Edges
2 minApply heat evenly around the outer edges of the rear glass for approximately two minutes using a heat gun set to low.

Attach Suction Cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the back panel and gently pull upward to create a thin gap.

Insert Plastic Opening Pick
1 minInsert a thin plastic pick into the gap between the glass back panel and the plastic frame.

Slice Rear Adhesive
3 minSlide the pick along the perimeter of the phone to cut through the adhesive holding the back cover.

Remove Rear Glass Cover
2 minLift the rear cover away from the phone body and remove any leftover adhesive strips from the frame.

1 minUse a spudger to pry straight up on the press connector for the display flex cable on the lower board.

1 minPry up the main ribbon cable connector from the daughterboard using a plastic spudger tool.

Disconnect Antenna Coaxial Cables
2 minUse fine tweezers to carefully pry up the black and blue antenna cable heads straight off their daughterboard sockets.

Unscrew Daughterboard Retaining Screw
1 minRemove the single Phillips #000 screw securing the microphone daughterboard to the palm rest frame.

Remove Microphone Daughterboard
2 minGently pry up and remove the daughterboard housing the primary microphone from the bottom of the device.

Install Replacement Daughterboard
3 minAlign the new daughterboard into the lower housing, secure it with the screw, and reattach all flex cables and antennae.
