Power Off Phone
1 minPress and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen.

Remove S Pen
1 minPress inward on the S Pen end to pop it out, then slide it completely out of the phone body.

Eject SIM Tray
1 minInsert the SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray and push gently to pop it out.

Heat Back Cover
3 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer along the edges of the rear glass panel for 2 minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup
2 minPlace a suction handle near the bottom edge of the rear panel and pull up to create a small gap.

Insert Opening Pick
2 minSlide a thin plastic opening pick into the gap created between the back cover and frame.

Slice Adhesive Perimeter
4 minSlide the pick along the bottom, left, right, and top edges to separate all the back cover adhesive.

Remove Back Cover
1 minLift the rear panel off the phone frame and set it aside.

Unscrew Speaker Assembly
3 minRemove the eight Phillips #00 screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing.

Remove Speaker Assembly
2 minInsert a spudger under the top lip of the speaker module and pry upward to remove it.

Disconnect Interconnect Cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to pry the main flex interconnect cable straight up from the sub-board.

Disconnect Display Cable
1 minPry up the display flex cable connector attached to the sub-board.

Disconnect Antenna Cables
2 minUse tweezers to carefully pry up the blue and white coaxial antenna cable heads from the daughterboard.

Unscrew Sub-board
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the charging port sub-board to the chassis.

Pry Up Sub-board
2 minGently pry beneath the bottom of the daughterboard with a spudger to release it from the frame.

Insert New Sub-board
2 minAlign the replacement charging port sub-board with the bottom chassis recess and press it into place.

Secure Sub-board Screw
1 minReinstall the single Phillips #00 screw to lock the sub-board into position.

Reconnect Antenna Cables
2 minAlign the coaxial antenna heads over their sockets and press down straight with tweezers until they click.

Reconnect Flex Cables
2 minPress the display and main interconnect cable press connectors into their sub-board sockets.

Reinstall Speaker Assembly
1 minPlace the loudspeaker module into the lower frame housing and snap it into alignment.

3 minFasten the eight Phillips #00 screws into the speaker module to lock it in place.
