   Power off the device

   Press and hold the power button and tap 'Power Off' on the screen. Ensure the device is fully turned off before beginning.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the top edge of the frame. Press firmly to eject the card tray and pull it out.

   Heat the back panel

   Use a heat gun or hairdryer on low heat to warm the outer edges of the back panel for two minutes. This softens the factory adhesive.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back glass panel. Pull upward gently to create a slight gap between the panel and the frame.

   Insert an opening pick

   Insert a thin plastic prying tool or opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup. Take care not to insert it deeper than 3mm.

   Slice the panel adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the perimeter adhesive sealant. Apply extra heat if the adhesive resists.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear panel completely off the chassis. Set it aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew the lower speaker enclosure

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the six identical screws securing the bottom speaker assembly.

   Pry up the speaker enclosure

   Insert a plastic spudger beneath the top edge of the lower speaker housing. Gently lever the speaker up and out of the phone.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Pry the battery press connector straight up off the main logic board using a spudger to disable power safely.

    Disconnect the main interconnect cable

    Use the edge of a spudger to lift and disconnect the main ribbon cable from the sub-board at the bottom.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use tweezers to carefully pry up the small round coaxial antenna cable connectors from the sub-board.

    Remove the sub-board screw

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw holding the sub-board to the frame using a precision screwdriver.

    Remove the microphone sub-board

    Insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard containing the primary microphone and lift it out of the recess.

    Install the new microphone board

    Set the replacement sub-board into its frame compartment and press down softly until it sits flat.

    Reassemble the device

    Reattach the cables, secure the sub-board and speaker module with screws, re-plug the battery, and press the back panel back into place.
