   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the phone is completely shut down before proceeding.

   Remove the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small pinhole on the upper left side of the frame. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the Rear Cover Edges

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer to apply mild heat around the rear cover edges for 1 to 2 minutes. This softens the interior adhesive holding the back panel.

   Insert a Plastic Opening Tool

   Place a suction cup on the back panel and pull up slightly to create a gap near the SIM slot. Insert a plastic prying tool into the seam.

   Unclip the Rear Panel

   Slide the plastic tool slowly around the entire perimeter of the phone to release the plastic clips and slice through adhesive. Take care not to insert the tool too deeply.

   Remove the Rear Cover

   Lift the rear cover straight up from the phone chassis once all clips are released. Set the back panel aside in a clean spot.

   Unbolt the Loudspeaker Housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the retaining screws securing the lower speaker assembly at the bottom of the phone.

   Remove the Lower Loudspeaker

   Insert the flat end of a spudger beneath the loudspeaker edge and gently pry it up. Remove the speaker module from the phone.

   Disconnect the Battery Cable

   Pry the battery press connector directly up from the mainboard using a plastic spudger. Disconnecting power prevents short circuits while working.

    Disconnect the Interconnect Flex Cable

    Use your spudger to disconnect the main-to-sub interconnect flex cable connector from the bottom sub-board.

    Disconnect the Display Cable

    Pry up the display press connector from the sub-board using the edge of a plastic spudger tool.

    Detach the Antenna Coaxial Cable

    Grasp the antenna cable head with tweezers and lift it straight up off its board socket. Do not pull on the wire itself.

    Unbolt the Sub-Board Screw

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the daughterboard containing the microphone to the frame.

    Pry Out the Faulty Sub-Board

    Slide a thin spudger underneath the edge of the sub-board and lift it out of the lower recess. Ensure the old rubber microphone gasket comes out with it.

    Position the New Sub-Board

    Set the new sub-board into the bottom chassis recess, ensuring the microphone aligns with the lower port hole.

    Secure the Sub-Board Screw

    Reinstall and tighten the single Phillips #00 screw to lock the replacement sub-board into the chassis.

    Reattach Antenna and Board Flex Cables

    Align and press down the coaxial cable head onto its socket, then snap the display cable and main interconnect cable onto the new sub-board.

    Reconnect the Battery Cable

    Press the battery flex connector straight down onto the mainboard socket until you feel it click into place.

    Reinstall the Loudspeaker Enclosure

    Lower the speaker assembly back over the sub-board and drive in all the Phillips #00 screws firmly.

    Snap On the Rear Cover

    Align the back cover over the frame and press around all edges until every clip snaps securely into place.
