Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool or paperclip into the small hole next to the SIM tray, then press firmly to eject the tray.

Heat the Back Cover
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the outer edges of the back cover for approximately two minutes to soften the internal adhesive.

Attach Suction Cup and Create Gap
3 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back cover, pull upward gently, and slide a thin plastic opening pick into the resulting gap.

Slice the Peripheral Adhesive
4 minSlide the plastic pick carefully around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the remaining adhesive.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minLift the rear cover straight up from the phone body and set it aside on a clean surface.

Unscrew the Upper Midframe
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the 11 screws securing the plastic motherboard frame and upper speaker bracket.

Unsnap the Upper Midframe Cover
2 minInsert a plastic spudger into the notch along the side of the upper midframe and pry gently to release it from the frame housing.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery press connector straight up off the logic board using the flat edge of a plastic spudger to eliminate electrical hazard.

Disconnect the Display Cable
1 minUse your plastic spudger to unclip the primary display flex cable connector from the right side of the logic board.

Disconnect the Interconnect Cable
1 minPry up the sub-board interconnect cable press connector located next to the display cable on the logic board.

Disconnect the Antenna Cables
2 minUse fine-tip tweezers to gently unclip the black and white coaxial antenna cables from their sockets on the lower edge of the board.

Remove the Motherboard Screw
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw holding the top left corner of the logic board to the frame.

Lift Out the Logic Board
2 minGrasp the logic board by its edges, lift the top portion upward, and remove it from the phone body.
