Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole next to the card slot on the left edge. Press firmly to eject the tray and pull it out completely.

Unclip the SIM Tray Seam
2 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the seam between the display assembly and the rear plastic frame near the SIM slot.

Slice the Bottom Clips
2 minSlide the opening pick along the bottom edge to release the plastic internal retaining clips.

Release the Side Clips
3 minContinue sliding the pick up the left and right sides of the device to pop loose the remaining chassis clips.

Separate the Rear Cover
2 minGently lift the back cover away from the main frame. Be cautious around the power button assembly on the right side.

Unscrew the Speaker Enclosure
3 minUse a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing.

Pry Up the Loudspeaker
2 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the notch of the loudspeaker module and lift it out of the frame.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to pop the battery press connector off the motherboard to prevent accidental shorts.

Disconnect the Interconnect Cable
2 minPry straight up on the main interconnect ribbon cable press connector on the lower daughterboard.

Disconnect the White Antenna Cable
2 minUse precision tweezers to pry up the white coaxial antenna cable connector from its socket on the sub-board.

Disconnect the Black Antenna Cable
2 minUnclip the black coaxial cable connector from the right side of the daughterboard.

Remove the Sub-Board Screw
1 minRemove the single Phillips #00 screw securing the daughterboard to the lower chassis.

Pry Out the Old Sub-Board
2 minInsert a spudger beneath the bottom edge of the daughterboard and carefully pry it out of its recess.

Position the Replacement Sub-Board
2 minSet the new charging port daughterboard into the bottom frame alignment posts.

Secure the Daughterboard Screw
1 minReinstall the single Phillips #00 screw to lock the new sub-board in place.

Reconnect the Antenna Cables
3 minAlign and press down on the white and black coaxial cable heads until they snap onto the sub-board sockets.

Reconnect the Main Flex Cable
2 minAlign the main interconnect ribbon connector over the sub-board port and press down firmly to connect it.

Reconnect the Battery Cable
1 minSnap the main battery connector back into place on the motherboard.

Reinstall the Loudspeaker Module
2 minPlace the loudspeaker cover back over the daughterboard area and press it down flush into the frame.

Fasten the Loudspeaker Screws
3 minTighten the Phillips #00 screws back into the loudspeaker housing.

Snap the Rear Cover Closed
3 minAlign the back panel onto the chassis and press firmly along all edges until all plastic clips snap tight.

Reinsert the SIM Card Tray
1 minPush the SIM tray back into the left side of the phone until it sits flush.
