   Power off the device

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons, then tap Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely powered down before proceeding.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it completely.

   Warm the rear cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low setting for one minute around the edges of the back cover. This softens the internal adhesive and clips holding the rear panel.

   Attach the suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower back cover near the charging port. Pull up gently on the ring to create a slight gap between the cover and the frame.

   Insert a plastic prying tool

   Insert the thin edge of a plastic prying tool into the gap near the SIM tray slot. Keep the tool shallow to avoid snagging internal flex cables.

   Unclip the back cover

   Slide the prying tool along the perimeter of the device to disengage the plastic retention clips. Work your way carefully around all four sides.

   Remove the rear cover

   Lift the plastic back cover off the chassis once all perimeter clips are released. Set the cover aside.

   Unscrew the speaker housing

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker assembly. Keep the screws organized for reassembly.

   Pry up the speaker module

   Insert the tip of a spudger beneath the notched edge of the loudspeaker housing. Carefully pry upward to unseat it from the frame.

    Remove the old speaker

    Use tweezers or your fingers to lift the speaker module out of the phone frame. Inspect the exposed cavity for dust or debris.

    Clean the contact pads

    Gently wipe the gold contact pads on the daughterboard using a lint-free cloth moistened with isopropyl alcohol. Allow the area to dry completely.

    Position the replacement speaker

    Align the new loudspeaker module directly into the lower frame cavity. Ensure the spring contact pins match the alignment of the sub-board pads.

    Press speaker into place

    Apply light, even downward pressure across the speaker module until it clicks securely into the frame. Check that it sits flush with surrounding components.

    Secure the speaker screws

    Reinstall the Phillips #00 screws into the loudspeaker assembly. Tighten each screw snugly without stripping the plastic threads.

    Snap the back cover on

    Align the rear cover over the chassis starting from the top edge. Press firmly around the entire perimeter until all plastic clips snap back into place.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Align the SIM tray with its slot and push it straight back into the device until flush with the outer frame.
