Eject the SIM Card Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left side of the Galaxy A04. Push firmly to pop out the tray and remove it completely.

Heat the Back Cover Edges
2 minApply mild heat with a heat gun or hair dryer around the outer perimeter of the back cover for 1 to 2 minutes to soften the internal clips and light adhesive.

Create an Opening Gap
2 minInsert a plastic prying tool into the seam between the plastic rear cover and the front display bezel near the bottom corner.

Unclip the Back Cover
3 minSlide the plastic prying tool along the sides and top of the phone to unlatch the perimeter retaining clips.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minLift the rear cover straight off the frame once all plastic clips are fully disengaged.

Unscrew the Motherboard Cover
3 minUse a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the 6 screws securing the upper plastic motherboard frame.

Remove the Upper Shield
2 minInsert a spudger under the edge of the upper plastic frame and lift it away from the motherboard.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minPry the battery press-fit connector straight up from the motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

Disconnect the Power Button Flex
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to detach the power button flex connector from the right side of the motherboard.

Peel Off the Power Flex Assembly
2 minGently insert fine tweezers under the adhesive-backed power button flex cable inside the side housing frame to detach it.

Remove the Physical Power Key
2 minUse tweezers to press the metal retaining bracket and remove the physical power button key from its side slot.

Install the New Power Key
2 minPlace the replacement power button key into the side frame cutout until it sits flush against the outer casing.

Adhere the New Power Flex
2 minAlign the replacement power button flex cable in the side chassis groove and press it down firmly to secure the adhesive.

Connect the Power Button Cable
1 minAlign the power button flex connector over its socket on the motherboard and press down until it snaps into place.

Reconnect the Battery
1 minSnap the battery flex cable connector directly back onto its motherboard socket.

Reattach the Upper Shield
3 minPosition the upper plastic frame over the motherboard and tighten the 6 Phillips #000 screws to hold it in place.

Snap On the Back Cover
2 minAlign the back cover over the body and apply firm pressure around all edges until the plastic clips snap closed.

Reinsert the SIM Tray
1 minPush the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left side of the phone until it sits flush with the frame.
