   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power button, then select power off to shut down the device completely.

   Remove the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole near the upper left frame to release and remove the SIM tray.

   Heat the rear cover

   Apply heat to the outer edges of the rear panel using a heat gun for two minutes to soften the glue.

   Attach a suction cup

   Place a suction cup on the lower end of the rear panel and gently pull up to create a gap.

   Insert a plastic pry tool

   Slide a thin plastic pry pick into the seam opened by the suction cup.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Move the plastic pick along all four edges of the back cover to cut through the remaining adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Lift the rear panel completely off the chassis and lay it aside on your work mat.

   Unscrew the loudspeaker module

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the lower loudspeaker housing.

   Pry up the loudspeaker

   Insert the flat end of a spudger under the edge of the loudspeaker assembly and carefully lift it out.

    Disconnect the battery cable

    Pry up the battery connector from the motherboard with a plastic spudger to cut power.

    Disconnect the main flex cable

    Use a spudger to disconnect the main interconnect flex cable from the charging daughterboard.

    Disconnect antenna coaxial cables

    Use tweezers to carefully unsnap the two coaxial antenna connectors from the sub-board.

    Remove the daughterboard screw

    Remove the single Phillips #000 screw holding the daughterboard to the bottom frame.

    Remove the old charging daughterboard

    Insert a spudger beneath the daughterboard and lift it out of the frame recess.

    Set the new charging board

    Align the new charging port assembly with the frame recess and seat it flush into place.

    Secure the daughterboard screw

    Reinstall the Phillips #000 screw to lock the new daughterboard into the frame.

    Reconnect coaxial antenna cables

    Align and press down on the two coaxial antenna heads until they snap onto the new daughterboard.

    Reconnect main flex cable

    Align the main interconnect flex connector over its socket on the daughterboard and press down firmly.

    Reconnect the battery cable

    Press the battery flex connector back into its receptacle on the main board.

    Position the loudspeaker module

    Place the loudspeaker cover back over the sub-board section and press down until aligned.

    Fasten loudspeaker screws

    Drive the Phillips #000 screws back into the loudspeaker housing until snug.

    Apply back cover adhesive

    Clean remaining old glue with isopropyl alcohol and lay down fresh pre-cut adhesive tape on the frame.

    Seal the back cover

    Align the rear panel with the frame and press firmly along all edges to bond the adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Slide the SIM card tray back into its slot until flush with the side of the phone.
