   Turn Off the Phone

   Press and hold the Power and Volume Up buttons simultaneously, then tap Power Off on the screen.

   Remove the SIM Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole beside the SIM card slot on the left edge to eject the tray.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Apply heat to the edges of the back cover for 2 minutes using a heat gun to soften the adhesive.

   Apply Suction Cup

   Place a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull gently to create a gap.

   Insert Opening Pick

   Slide a plastic prying tool or opening pick into the gap created by the suction cup.

   Slice Back Cover Adhesive

   Carefully slide the opening pick around the entire perimeter of the phone to separate the back cover adhesive.

   Remove the Back Cover

   Lift the rear panel completely off the device frame and set it aside.

   Unscrew Motherboard Cover

   Remove the Phillips #000 screws securing the plastic motherboard frame and camera housing.

   Remove Motherboard Cover

   Pry up the edges of the plastic motherboard cover using a spudger and lift it off the chassis.

    Disconnect Battery Cable

    Use a plastic spudger to pry the battery press connector directly up from its motherboard socket.

    Disconnect Interconnect Flex Cables

    Unplug the main display and sub-board flex cables that cross over the battery using a plastic spudger.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol around the edges of the battery to weaken the adhesive underneath.

    Pull Battery Release Tab

    Grasp the pull tab attached to the battery adhesive and pull steadily upward at a shallow angle.

    Remove Old Battery

    Pry gently beneath the battery with a flat plastic tool to lift it out from the frame recess.

    Clean Adhesive Residue

    Wipe away remaining adhesive residue inside the battery compartment using a lint-free cloth and isopropyl alcohol.

    Apply New Adhesive Strips

    Place new double-sided battery adhesive strips neatly onto the recessed battery bay.

    Install New Battery

    Align the replacement battery in the housing and press down evenly to secure it in place.

    Reconnect Interconnect Flex Cables

    Align and snap the display and sub-board interconnect cables back onto their respective board connectors.

    Press the battery flex connector straight down onto the motherboard socket until it clicks.

    Reinstall Motherboard Cover

    Place the upper motherboard shield onto the frame and tighten all Phillips #000 screws.

    Apply Back Cover Adhesive

    Lay pre-cut adhesive strips around the rim of the frame, or apply thin bead of frame adhesive.

    Seal the Back Cover

    Align the back panel with the phone chassis and press firmly along all edges to seat the adhesive.

    Reinsert the SIM Tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot until it sits flush against the frame.
