   Power off the phone

   Eject the SIM card tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the small hole on the left side of the phone. Push firmly until the tray pops out, then remove it.

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back panel to cut through the surrounding glue. Keep the pick shallow to avoid internal flex cables.

   Lift and remove back cover

   Gently lift the back cover off the body of the phone once all adhesive is severed. Place the back panel safely aside.

   Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove all screws holding down the lower speaker cover assembly. Store the screws together safely.

    Lift out the old speaker module

    Grasp the loudspeaker assembly with tweezers or fingers and pull it out of the bottom chassis cavity. Remove any residual adhesive tape.

    Clean gold contact pads

    Lightly wipe the contact pads on the sub-board using a lint-free swab dampened with high-concentration isopropyl alcohol. Allow it to dry completely.

    Seat the new speaker module

    Orient the replacement loudspeaker module with the contact pins facing down. Press it firmly into the lower bay until properly seated.

    Snap speaker frame into place

    Align the plastic speaker housing over the lower module. Press along the perimeter until all perimeter clips click into the frame.
