   Power off the phone

   Press and hold the power and volume up buttons simultaneously, then tap Power Off on the screen to completely shut down the device.

   Eject the SIM tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out and set it aside.

   Heat the back panel

   Apply a heated iOpener or heat gun to the edges of the rear panel for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

   Attach a suction handle

   Place a suction handle near the lower edge of the back panel and press down firmly to create a seal.

   Create an opening gap

   Pull up on the suction handle to create a slight seam between the rear cover and the frame, then insert an opening pick into the gap.

   Slice perimeter adhesive

   Slide the opening pick around all four edges of the back cover to cut through the remaining adhesive.

   Remove the back cover

   Carefully lift the rear panel off the chassis and lay it aside.

   Unscrew the motherboard bracket

   Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic upper protective shield over the motherboard.

   Remove the motherboard shield

   Use a spudger to pry up and lift the upper motherboard cover out of the frame.

    Disconnect the battery flex

    Pry the battery press connector straight up from its motherboard socket using a plastic spudger.

    Unscrew the loudspeaker assembly

    Remove the Phillips #00 screws securing the speaker housing at the bottom of the device.

    Remove the loudspeaker

    Insert a spudger beneath the edge of the loudspeaker module and pry it out of the phone frame.

    Disconnect the interconnect cable

    Pry up the lower flex cable press connector that joins the mainboard to the daughterboard.

    Disconnect the antenna coaxial cables

    Use precision tweezers to gently pry the white and black coaxial antenna cables straight up from the sub-board.

    Unscrew the sub-board

    Remove the single Phillips #00 screw anchoring the charging port sub-board to the frame.

    Pry up the charging port board

    Insert a spudger under the sub-board edge to break the light adhesive beneath and lift the old board out.

    Position the replacement sub-board

    Set the new charging port sub-board into its compartment at the bottom of the phone frame.

    Secure the sub-board screw

    Fasten the single Phillips #00 screw back into place to hold the sub-board firmly.

    Snap antenna cables into place

    Align the antenna connectors over their sub-board sockets and press down gently until they snap in.

    Reconnect the interconnect flex

    Align and press down on the main ribbon cable connector to link it back to the sub-board.

    Reinstall the loudspeaker

    Place the loudspeaker module back into the lower cavity and tighten the Phillips #00 screws.

    Reconnect the battery flex

    Press the battery cable connector back into its socket on the upper motherboard.

    Reattach motherboard shield

    Align the upper shield over the motherboard and tighten the Phillips #00 screws.

    Apply new adhesive strips

    Clean remaining adhesive off the frame with isopropyl alcohol and lay down fresh custom pre-cut adhesive.

    Reseal the back cover

    Align the rear panel with the phone chassis and press firmly along the perimeter to secure the seal.

    Reinsert the SIM tray

    Push the SIM card tray back into its slot on the left frame until it sits flush.
