Power Off the Phone
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Power Off to completely turn off the device.

Eject the SIM Tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject pin into the hole on the left edge of the phone to pop out the SIM tray.

Warm the Rear Cover
2 minApply heat with a heat gun to the back cover edges for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach the Suction Cup
1 minPlace a suction cup near the bottom edge of the back panel and pull upward firmly to create a gap.

Slice the Back Adhesive
4 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide along all four edges to cut through the adhesive.

Remove the Back Cover
1 minCarefully lift the back cover straight off the frame and set it aside.

Unscrew the Motherboard Bracket
3 minRemove the Phillips #00 screws securing the plastic upper motherboard cover.

1 minInsert the flat end of a spudger under the motherboard shield and lift it out of the chassis.

Disconnect the Battery Cable
1 minUse a plastic spudger to pry up the battery press-connector on the mainboard to cut power.

1 minPry up the main display flex cable connector from the right side of the logic board.

Disconnect the Interconnect Cable
1 minDisconnect the main flex cable that bridges the motherboard to the sub-board.

Disconnect Camera Modules
2 minPry up the front-facing camera and rear camera flex connectors from the board.

Unplug Antenna Coaxial Cables
2 minUse fine-tip tweezers to gently pop off the coaxial antenna heads from their logic board sockets.

Remove Board Retaining Screws
2 minRemove any remaining Phillips screws anchoring the logic board to the frame assembly.

Lift Out the Logic Board
2 minPry under the bottom edge of the logic board with a spudger and remove it from the device.

Transfer Cameras to New Board
3 minMove the front and rear camera modules over to the replacement logic board if necessary.

2 minAlign the top edge of the new logic board into the frame and lower it carefully into place.
