Safety
- Wear an anti-static wrist strap to avoid electrostatic damage to liquid-exposed silicon.
- Perform liquid cleaning with 99% isopropyl alcohol in a well-ventilated area away from heat sources.
- Do not heat the rear cover or lithium battery beyond 80°C (176°F).
- Disconnect the battery press connector immediately after opening the device to prevent galvanic corrosion.

Step-by-step

Power off device
1 minTurn off the OnePlus Nord N100 immediately to prevent electrical short circuits while liquid is inside.

Remove SIM tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the pinhole on the left side of the frame and pull the tray completely out.

Heat rear adhesive
3 minApply mild heat from a heat gun along the outer edges of the plastic back cover for two minutes to soften adhesive.

Slice rear adhesive
4 minInsert a thin plastic opening pick under the plastic back cover and slice around all four edges.

Lift rear cover carefully
2 minPivot the rear cover open along the right edge, taking care not to strain the fingerprint sensor cable.

2 minUse a plastic spudger to pry the fingerprint reader flex cable connector straight up from the motherboard.

8 minRemove the daughterboard and thoroughly scrub the USB-C port and connectors with 99% isopropyl alcohol.

Dry circuit components
15 minAllow all cleaned circuit boards to air dry in a well-ventilated area for at least two hours before reassembly.

8 minPlace boards back into the frame, reconnect all flex cables, and plug in the battery connector last.
