Safety
- Power off the phone completely before starting disassembly.
- Do not puncture or bend the battery located above the speaker module.
- Use plastic prying tools around circuit boards to prevent short circuits.

Step-by-step
- 1
Remove the SIM card tray
1 minInsert a SIM eject tool into the hole next to the SIM tray on the left side of the phone. Push firmly to pop the tray out, then remove it completely.

Heat the rear cover edges
2 minUse a heat gun or hair dryer to apply warm air around the edges of the rear cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPress a suction cup onto the lower third of the rear plastic panel, close to the USB-C port.

Insert an opening pick
2 minPull up gently on the suction cup to create a small gap, then insert a plastic opening pick between the rear cover and the frame.

Slice the rear adhesive
3 minSlide the plastic pick around all four edges of the phone to slice through the adhesive holding the rear panel.

Open the rear cover cautiously
2 minSwing the rear cover open from the right side like a book cover, taking care not to pull on the attached fingerprint sensor cable.

Disconnect the fingerprint sensor flex cable
2 minUse a spudger to pop open the metal retaining bracket and disconnect the fingerprint sensor press connector from the motherboard.

Unscrew the loudspeaker housing
3 minRemove the seven Phillips #000 screws holding the plastic loudspeaker assembly to the bottom of the device.

Remove the loudspeaker housing
2 minInsert a spudger under the top edge of the speaker housing and pry up to detach it from the chassis.

Disconnect the main interconnect cable
1 minUse the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the wide main flex cable from the bottom sub-board.

Disconnect the antenna coaxial cable
1 minGently pry up the black coaxial antenna cable connector from its socket on the daughterboard using precision tweezers.

Remove the sub-board with microphone
2 minPry beneath the sub-board using a spudger to release it from the chassis adhesive and remove it from the device.

Install the new microphone sub-board
2 minAlign the replacement daughterboard containing the primary microphone into the bottom recess and press it into place.

Reconnect the antenna and main interconnect cables
2 minSnap the main flex connector and the coaxial antenna cable firmly onto their respective sockets on the new sub-board.

Reinstall the loudspeaker housing
3 minPosition the loudspeaker assembly over the sub-board and secure it with the seven Phillips #000 screws.

Seal the rear cover
3 minReconnect the fingerprint cable, apply new rear cover adhesive strips, and press the back cover firmly onto the frame.
