Step-by-step

Power down the device
1 minPress and hold the power button, then tap Shut Down on the screen. Ensure the phone is fully turned off before starting.

Heat the rear cover
2 minApply a heat gun on low heat around the edges of the back cover for two minutes to soften the factory adhesive.

Attach a suction cup
1 minPress a suction cup firmly onto the lower portion of the rear panel, near the USB-C port.

Create an opening gap
2 minPull upward gently on the suction cup handle to create a small gap between the back cover and the frame.

Slice perimeter adhesive
3 minInsert a plastic opening pick into the gap and slide it along all edges to sever the adhesive bonds.

Tilt the back cover open
1 minGently hinge the rear cover toward the right side. Do not remove it completely, as the fingerprint sensor ribbon is still attached.

Reconnect internal cables
2 minSnap the coaxial antenna and interconnect flex cables firmly back onto the new daughterboard.
