   Power Off the Device

   Press and hold the Power button, then select Power Off on the screen. Ensure the device is completely shut down before starting disassembly.

   Eject the SIM Card Tray

   Insert a SIM eject tool into the hole on the left edge of the phone. Push firmly to release the SIM tray and remove it completely.

   Heat the Back Cover

   Use a heat gun or hair dryer on low heat to warm the outer edges of the back cover for two to three minutes. This softens the perimeter adhesive seal.

   Attach Suction Cup

   Press a suction cup firmly near the bottom edge of the back panel. Pull upward gently on the ring to create a slight gap between the cover and the middle frame.

   Insert Plastic Pry Tool

   Insert a thin plastic pry tool into the gap created by the suction cup. Take care not to insert it deeper than 3 millimeters to avoid damaging internal components.

   Slice Rear Adhesive

   Slide the plastic pick carefully along all four edges of the back panel to cut through the adhesive. Reapply heat if the pick meets heavy resistance.

   Lift Off the Back Cover

   Gently lift the back cover away from the chassis. Set the back panel aside on a clean surface.

   Unscrew Upper Motherboard Shield

   Use a Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the 10 screws securing the plastic upper motherboard shield.

   Remove Upper Shield Frame

   Insert a spudger under the edge of the upper plastic frame and carefully unclip it from the housing.

    Disconnect the Battery Cable

    Use the flat end of a spudger to pry the battery connector straight up off the motherboard. This cuts power to the device to prevent electrical short circuits.

    Disconnect Display Flex Cable

    Pry up the main display flex cable connector covering the top portion of the battery.

    Disconnect Sub-Board Flex Cable

    Pry up the secondary sub-board interconnect flex cable connector running across the battery.

    Unfold Battery Pull Tab

    Locate the green pull-tab film folded over the battery pouch and carefully unstick its clear wings from the frame.

    Apply Isopropyl Alcohol

    Apply a few drops of high-concentration isopropyl alcohol along the top and bottom edges of the battery to weaken the underneath adhesive.

    Pull to Release Old Battery

    Grasp the green battery pull-tab securely and pull upward with strong, continuous force until the battery lifts out of the frame.

    Clean Battery Recess

    Use isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth to remove all leftover glue residue from the metal battery well.

    Apply New Battery Adhesive

    Peel the backing from new battery adhesive strips and lay them flat into the floor of the battery housing.

    Install New Battery

    Align the replacement battery into the frame well and press down firmly across its surface to set the adhesive.

    Reconnect Flex Cables

    Align and press down on the display and sub-board interconnect flex connectors until they click into their board sockets.

    Reconnect Battery Connector

    Snap the main battery press connector straight down into its socket on the motherboard.

    Reinstall Motherboard Shield

    Place the upper motherboard shield back onto the phone, snap the perimeter clips into place, and reinstall the 10 Phillips screws.

    Reseal Back Cover

    Apply a fresh pre-cut adhesive gasket along the frame border, align the back cover, and press firmly along all edges to seal.
